Yoko Ogawa

Japón (Okayama, 1962)
nace en Okayawa en 1962. Se graduó en la universidad de Waseda. En 1986 inicia una carrera de escritora inspirada por sus lecturas de los clasicos nipones. Ya con su primera novela , Cuando la mariposa se descompone ,obtiene en 1988 el prestigioso premio Kaien y desde entonces su fama ha ido creciendo en el extranjero y ha publicado más de veinte libros. Hasta la fecha su obra más importante ha sido La fórmula preferida del profesor.

• 1990 Premio Akutagawa por El embarazo de mi hermana (Ninshin karendaa, 妊娠 カレンダー)
• 2004 Premio Yomiuri por La fórmula preferida del profesor (Hakase no aishita sushiki, 博士の愛した数式)
• 2004 Premio Izumi por Burafuman no maisō, ブラフマンの埋葬
• 2006 Premio Tanizaki por La marcha de Mina (Mīna no kōshin, ミーナの行進)
